Would You?

In the name of beauty, would you roll 200 micro needles all over YOUR skin? The idea of the Derma Roller is to puncture the surface skin and cause trauma to the upper layers of the skin which stimulates collagen growth and cell turnover. My favorite lady, Angelina Jolie, is rumored to use one of these as an anti-aging method to hold off on needing plastic surgery.

Thoughts?

I’d especially like to hear Miss.Summer’s opinion on this device since she is an esthetician. <—(Am I spelling that wrong?)

Nope you spelled that right! Yes, I would use this because in addition to stimulating collagen growth, the tiny perforations would allow product (serums, anti aging creams) to penetrate the skin with more efficacy. That’s why we offer microdermabrasion at the spa. I wouldn’t use it on acne prone or problematic skin though. Definitely for a normal or maturing skin.

    Yup! “All Over Your Faaace!”
There are different sizes. The smallest has 0.5mm needles which aren’t supposed to be painful. You don’t press down by the way, you lightly roll the device. The needles go up to like 2mm long! The really long ones are for deep scars/stretchmarks though.

Miss.Summer why does my spell check tell me I’m spelling esthetician wrong? :(

Ps. Thanks for your advice! I’ll wait till my skin is more mature before I lawnmower it ;)

On second thought, I may get one and try it on my pregnancy stretchmarks. Prob isn’t as irritating when used on the body.

@Shew that’s weird because that happens to me too? hmmm. As for using it on stretch marks, a product like this is highly recommended since the skin is more resilient
