Shew Review: Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy Collection

Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Collection

Brazilian Keratin Therapy Shampoo ($7.99) – Formulated with keratin proteins for lasting protection and a nourishing blend of organic cocoa nut, avocado and cocoa butter oils, this sulfate and sodium chloride free shampoo leaves hair with a relaxed, smooth, frizz free appearance. This luscious coconut scented formula provides a gentle cleansing that will not diminish the precious nutrients of keratin treated hair.

Brazilian Keratin Therapy ConditionerĀ  ($7.99) – This silky and luxurious conditioner provides lasting nourishment while protecting hair from the heat of styling tools. Created with nutrients and proteins intended to work in unison with keratin protein, Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner maintains hair’s shine and body.

I love the smell of this shampoo and conditioner set. My hair feels nourished and moisturized after shampooing and conditioning. It is important to leave the conditioner in for a few minutes to get the full effects of the products.

Brazilian Keratin Therapy Anti-Breakage Serum ($7.99) – To be used before or after blow-drying or heat styling, this blend of precious oils creates a vibrant shine with long lasting silky protection that prevents breakage without creating build-up.

Brazilian Keratin Therapy Flat Iron Spray ($7.99) – Specially formulated for flat ironing so the iron glides smoothly through the hair, Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy Flat Iron Spray leaves hair radiant with a lustrous shine. Made with a silicone compound, the styling product reduces fly-aways and protects against thermal damage, smooths, and conditions hair.

The Brazilian Keratin Therapy Anti-Breakage Serum smells sooo good. It smells like sweet coconut. When I blow dried my hair, it looked sleek and smooth, and this is before I even flat ironed. The flat iron spray mists nicely and you are supposed to mist section by section as you flat iron. My hair looked extremely shiny and smooth after flat ironing.

Very sleek and shiny, without looking greasy or stick straight.

My hair looks and feels healthy.

The ends don’t look damaged or split, and I haven’t had a trim in months!

Overall, I love the smell of these products and I am liking the final effects. I normally don’t use products with silicones because they weigh down the hair. The anti-breakage serum contains silicones, but since the desired look of Brazilan Keratin treated hair is sleek and smooth, the silicones do make sense for this product. I haven’t used the serum long enough to determine if it really does not create build-up. It is definitely important to use products that protect your hair from heat styling if you will be blow-drying and flat-ironing. I suppose it is better to have product buildup than fried hair.

Also included in this collection, there is a 30 Day Brazilian Keratin Therapy Treatment that is formaldehyde FREE. With the formaldehyde scares linked to salon Brazilian Blowouts, would you still get one? ORĀ  Would you consider using Organix Brazilian Keratin Therapy products as a less expensive and safe alternative?

i’ve heard really bad reviews on organix, but maybe this line is different? i really want to try it now! thanks to your review :D

Is this something super new or is it available at stores yet?

Hi Karen, These products are available at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid and ULTA stores. If you are on the East Coast, check Duane Reade.

I know Lady La did NOT like the Morrocan Argan Oil from Organix. I have tried the Coconut Milk collection and this collection, and I liked them. It’s important to read the instructions on the bottles. If you don’t leave the conditioner on for at least a few minutes, it doesn’t absorb into the hair and you will be left with tangles. I learned this from experience :/

I’ve only tried the Coconut Milk shampoo and conditioner (I have very curly hair). I’ll be purchasing this Brazilian Keratin collection for sure!

Shew do you apply anything on your eyebrows or are they just nice like that? I’m going through a brow debacle right now between threading and reckless tweezing.

  4. ShewNo Gravatar said on June 11th, 2011 at 11:58 am:

Hi Mab! I let them grow out completely for like three weeks. Then went to a threader and asked her to shape them, but leave them thick. Now I just tweeze new growth only. I never try to shape them myself. Best advice is to leave the tweezers alone. Let your brows grow out, then see a threader for shaping!

Thanks Shew! I’m going to definitely put the tweezers down and let my brows grow out. I heard castor oil and vitamin E helps the growing process….let’s see.

Mab – Castor oil does help. You can buy it in the pharmacy section of Target. Walgreens sells it too. Apply it on brows every evening. You can use vaseline if u don’t want to go buy castor oil. I use vaseline sometimes on my brows and lashes. It’s not as greasy.

I’ve just been adding more bronzer to deepen my skintone so it matches my body. The proper thing to do would be to buy a new foundation in a darker tone I suppose :/

Thank you for this review! I was looking at the product, wondering if I should try it and it works great! The usual leave in I used never prevented my hair from being all frizzy when I flat-ironed. This worked wonderfully! I have never had these results outside of the salon (probably because I don’t know what products to use). Thanks again for this review! I actually love my hair now :)

how can i use brazilian keratin therapy flat iron spray

  18. ShewNo Gravatar said on September 20th, 2011 at 10:39 am:

you spray the flat iron spray as a heat protectant and keratin therapy all over your hair, then you flat iron your hair.

I loved the definite hold and curl this

product kept in my hair. I did not try it alone as another reviewer did, but instead used it with the Moroccan Treatment (oil) product and they seemed to complement each other perfectly. If you have curls

like me and want them to look defined and beautiful, then you will like this product in conjunction with Moroccan Treatment.
