Shame on Shiekh

…and any other store carrying the Soda OBJECT shoes.

The FIENDS are always on the look out for a good bargain.. but never when it comes to compromising integrity. What brand in their right mind would knockoff a company that with every sale, gives a child in need a new pair of shoes??

The Soda OBJECT shoe comes in many different colors and sells for around $35.

TOMS classics are a mere $9 more and, with every purchase, a child in need gets a new pair of shoes.

One for One. Purchasing and supporting the Soda OBJECT shoe is robbing children in need.

If I see you wearing the Soda OBJECT shoes, I just might rob YOU.

Where are they $9? I’m only seeing the cheapest ones for $44.

    $9 more
    $44(TOMS) – $35(SODA) = $9 difference

makemechic.com Has them for 9.99 and when you have a kid that wants like 5 pairs, cheaper is always better.. I have bought TOMS and will still do so, but for my wallets sake I will also buys these.

Look, I have kids too and I understand the need for inexpensive shoes. But if I want inexpensive shoes for my kids I take them to Target. I don’t support a knockoff of a company that helps children in 3rd world countries get shoes. It’s just WRONG.

i agree with you shew! a co worker came up to me bragging about how she got some toms at a swap meet for only $10. I told her that was messed up because of what toms represents. She said she has kids and doesn’t have the money to spend like I do. yeah right. she could buy a knock off of another shoe that is trendy too without being a compassion-poser. it’s like accepting a free pack of “i voted” stickers that you did not work for, but wear to look cool. LAME!

BOBS gives 2 pairs for every pair bought, and I bought a pair of glitter shoes at pac sun before I even knew what TOMS was,I buy what I like from whom I like..

Yes, the Skechers BOBS shoes are also an obvious knockoff of TOMS, but in the end they contribute to a good cause. I’m calling out SODA because their knockoff doesn’t offer anything to children in need. TOMS became popular because of the CAUSE, and I think it is WRONG that companies are trying to profit off of that without contributing to the cause.
I think it’s great if more companies start helping children in need of shoes (Skechers) but damn, they could try to be a little more original.

By the way Skechers has no info on their site about BOBS any longer, so they obviously realized copying wasn’t the way to go. I also found no confirmation that Skechers gave two pairs of shoes to children in need with each purchase. It was one for one, just like TOMS. It was also very short-lived.

Sarah, Compassion-poser is the perfect word for people who buy swap meet TOMS. If people are comfortable with supporting something that takes from children in need, that’s an integrity issue that I just can’t relate to.

just after I finished reading this post I got a shipment of the Soda knockoffs at my store. Ugh! I scollded my boss for ordering them. He said sorry, but isnt willing to take them off the shelves smh. I wonder how much trouble I would get in if I packed them all up & donated them to a shelter or something :/
