These awesome new polishes from the Orly Plastix Collection arrived on my doorstep the other day. They are bold and bright, and dry to a satin/matte latex-like finish. The best thing about them is they don’t need a topcoat, in fact they would lose their “plastic” finish if you did apply one.

I lost my job before I lost my mind, and thank God. I’m not sure where or how I’ll end up employed next but I’m taking some LONG overdue ME TIME. sounds corny I know. but it isn’t. For the first time in my life I don’t have a format. a checklist. or a gang of material rewards that will pat me on the back for being ’successful’. Excuse me world, while I live. I’m taking my time off to see the world the way I’ve always wanted to. without time constraint. without reason. I’ll keep you posted on how that turns out for me.

In the name of beauty, would you roll 200 micro needles all over YOUR skin? The idea of the Derma Roller is to puncture the surface skin and cause trauma to the upper layers of the skin which stimulates collagen growth and cell turnover. My favorite lady, Angelina Jolie, is rumored to use one of these as an anti-aging method to hold off on needing plastic surgery.

Congrats to Dearly Departed, whose website and Summer 2010 collection is now live and available for the taking. It’s awesome to watch something grow as much they have. Slow and steady wins the race.

According to the Twitter account of Women’s Wear Daily, Khloe and Lamar Kardashian will launch a unisex fragrance just in time for Valentine’s Day. Would you? I feel like a fragrance collaboration is as dooming as tattooing your partner’s name on you. But that’s just me.
