Makeup artists Jemma Kidd (of Jemma Kidd Makeup School), Napoleon Perdis, and Petra Strand have all signed on to collaborate with Target for its’ DESIGN FOR ALL campaign. This is a huge moment for the retailer considering it will be introducing TESTERS for the first time ever (Christina’s going to have a massive coronary, I’m sure.) According to Joshua Thomas, a member of Target Corp.’s communication department “the new beauty move is a long term plan”, meaning we can expect to consistantly see other up and comers in the makeup aisle (and spend MORE MONEY). The three lines plan to drop at the end of August.

check this out…they have a NICE selection of Brixton hats for your boyfriend. See you there.

Not sure when this dress/skirt thingy is coming out, but it’s shiny and I have to get my paws on it. You should too.

Designer pedi’s aren’t the NEWEST of news by any means, but I was more than impressed with the girls at DV Nails in Central Phoenix. My co-worker is a tad label-obsessed, but check the PRECISION on the pattern. Ultra clean. “Burberry” Pedi by Julie..DV NAILS

Thank GOD for my friend, Christina. Homegirl’s beauty and fashion repertoire could throw Vogue for a loop! Needless to say, she was rather disappointed when she learned I hadn’t seen Sephora’s collab with tattoo maven, Kat Von D….um, I’ve been busy? (pshhh). The line is a direct reflection of Von D’s PERSONAL style laced with touches of old Hollywood glamour. “It’s so rad to be able to accentuate all the little things that make you a woman, from the curves of your lips down to each eyelash,” she says.
With affordable prices, (the collection ranges from $18 to about $48) WE think it’s rad too.

Fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent died today at the age of 71. Considered one of the most influencial designers of the 20th century, Saint Laurent DEFINED the modern woman with his sexy, tailored pantsuits and tuxedo jackets. According to the designer, “fashion was not only supposed to make women beautiful, but to reassure them, to give them confidence, to allow them to come to terms with themselves.” The cause of death was undetermined at the time of the announcement.

YSL inspired logo tee by Chicago based streetwear giant, ST.ALFRED…proving just how timeless the designer’s brand was (and IS).
