One of my favorite candies of all time is Ting Ting Jahe. A ginger chew made in Indonesia, the candy is a perfect blend of sweet and spice. Ginger’s properties help to calm stomach ailments such as nausea and even motion sickness. Place two candies into a cup of boiling water and stir until completely dissolved. The relief is surprisingly quick and if you’re not a fan of the taste of ginger, the hot water and sugar tones it down a bit. Ting Ting Jahe is available at most asian specialty stores and through Amazon.

Inspired by the eclectic style of an urban ballerina, this striking collection infuses a punk-rock edge with the typically soft, sweet (and pink) palette of classical ballet. The shades in the Urban Ballerina collection reflect the urban dancer’s dynamic textures and colors, like shimmering pink satin, the steely gray of downtown buildings, and the neutral tones of a city landscape.

Available individually for $9 or in a mini set of four select colors on Sephora.com

There’s nothing greater than cruising the beauty aisles of a drugstore. During a recent visit, I discovered the wonder that is Borba Skin Balance Water. Now available at Walgreens (sold separately for $1.99), the skin care line is offering itself on an even more affordable and accessible level. The waters come in four versions: Clarifying (which I bought), Replenishing, Anti-Aging, and Firming. Have you tried it? What were the results? Please give me some good news.

Tried this once and did NOTHING for me. It actually seems like it made my hair DRYER. wtf? I’ve been wanting a moroccan oil for a my hair for a minute, and when I saw this thought, “self! this is what you’ve been waiting for….”…..crash and burn. Suggestions for a better one?

“BODY WORLDS & The Brain is now at Arizona Science Center for a limited time. Gunther von Hagens’ world-famous exhibition looks at the body in a previously unseen way! With over 200 authentic human specimens, and highlights on recent neuroscience findings on brain development, function and disease, it will excite even those guests who visited when we hosted BODY WORLDS 3 in 2007.”
I attended Body Worlds 3 when it first came here to Arizona in 2007, and it was an unforgettable experience. These are real human bodies, preserved through Plastination. You see EVERYTHING: skin, muscle, bone, blood vessels, etc… I highly recommend you check it out while you can. It is a bit controversial, but all of the bodies were donated to the exhibition and it is in the name of science, which makes it less creepy yes? Obviously if you are sensitive about seeing authentic animal and human bodies (including babies and children) Do NOT Attend.
Get more info and purchase tickets HERE
Not in Arizona? Visit the Body Worlds site to see if the exhibition will be coming to a city near you.

Unidentified British street artist, Banksy, has emerged into the world of body art (unauthorized, of course). I would definitely buy them for novelty’s sake, but I wouldn’t wear them. Temporary tattoos (with the exception of some of the Chanel ones), have as much edge to them as pajama jeans. Find them HERE.
