K, so it’s exactly what it sounds like. My health nut spin on one of my faves strawberry shortcake, minus the cake. Take a simple handful of strawberries, slice in halves, top with lite whip cream, drizzle honey, and at a teeny tap of cinnamon sprinkle. Take the short-cuts on the sweets where you can and still enjoy life without feeling guilty.
Calories: Strawberries 1 cup = 49 calories, Whip Cream 2 tbsp = 25 calories (you could always use a lite or fat free version) , Honey (light drizzle) a fraction of 60 calories. That’s a sweet dessert for far under 200 calories
You would be surprised that the addition or subtraction of a subtle topping like honey or cinnamon can make you forget what you’re used to. Learn to appreciate a full palate of spice and healthier options…you may be pleasantly surprised!
