I literally (almost) hit a moral dilemma in the road. I’ve been needing a mattress for soooo long but just haven’t had the extra dough to make that happen. This weekend I was driving down the road and there was a queen-sized mattress in the middle of the street perfectly wrapped in plastic. Did I take it? Nope. I just couldn’t. I didn’t “feel right”. I had all these visions of a family who had saved their hard earned dough to sleep together on this mattress and accidentally it fell out of their truck. I imagined tears rolling down the faces of the kids and wife about how they lost their hard earned bed. I also felt like maybe, since I didn’t have the proper equipment to tie it up, that trying to take it, would somehow cause my untimely death via car wreck because I tried to come up on a $500 mattress that ironically would provide “better” sleep. SMH.
I left it and now I’m losing sleep wondering if I did the RIGHT thing? smh.

Man that’s a tough one, only because someone is gonna come up on that thing even if it wasn’t you. I doubt whoever it belonged to will be the one to find it.
I’d go with “you didn’t have anything to tie it up and it would have caused your untimely death” It just wasn’t meant to be. Look on Craigslist, whoever found it is now selling it on there

..the people who lost it WEREN’T poor or anything and it was stolen and THAT’S the karma THEY got. LOL
I don’t know man I think it’s the intention of the person that counts too. I mean if your a cool person n such then you have some good karma comin 2 u, no? What if it was in the form of a matress?
Now it being in mid-freeway and risking death is a different story….
