I’ve posted on the IT GIRL factor awhile ago, so I was super amped when I saw AZ It Girl/ local queen of confections, Farah Quinn on the cover of this month’s Java Magazine. I’d always see Farah and her hubby around town and thought they were completely adorable (she’s Indonesian, like ME
) After falling in love with the the chocolate cupcakes she baked for my 28th birthday party, I had no doubt that this cutie would become an international sensation. Her cooking show, “Ala Chef”, which debuted in Indonesia during November of ‘08 became an instant success due to her penchant for pastry AND her doll like looks (she ranked #3 of the 100 Top Sexiest Women in the World according to FHM Indonesia.) Here’s Farah on another talk show; I wasn’t able to find footage of her OWN show (weird) and sorry there’s no subtitles. Just watch for the esthetic value ok?). Be expecting to see “The Sexy Chef” (as she is known throughout Jakarta) EVERYWHERE soon, trust me.
For more on Farah, pick up the December issue of Java Magazine.

Our friend, Betsey J was kind enough to give us a heads up about this amazing event going down. According to the press release, “For the past four years the Hive Gallery and Studios in Los Angeles has been the feeding ground for the burgeoning Los Angeles art scene. In that tradition, for the month of November, Hive will be hosting Feminality – a unique exhibition showcasing more than twenty of the most talented female artists of this generation. Then, on Saturday, November 21st, the exhibition’s benefit VIP event takes place including, amongst other featured artists, a live wall painting by the uber artiste Tara McPherson.” I’m definitely scheduling my monthly trip to L.A. around this event.
For more info, visit Feminality’s website.

With Phoenix Fashion Week passing and Scottsdale Fashion Week nearing, I wanted to show Fashion from my favorite place in the world: Manila, Philippines. Pictured above is Hindy Tantoco: the designer of the chic coquette-meets-city girl line called Culte Femme.
Hindy had a Holiday fashion show in a posh bar called Members Only. She got Culte Femme muses to participate in a fashion shoot and she displayed those photos in the bar.

This behind-the-scenes film by Christian Acuna was played throughout the event:
Here are some of the photos from that Fashion Shoot… Read the rest of this entry »

Goodhead Salon 1527 WEST SUNSET BLVD., LOS ANGELES, CA 90026
While in LA, I love scouring different neighborhoods for cool looking salons or spas. My friend sent this link to me so I’ll have to check it out during my next visit. LOVE the name

Jamie Foxx

Gerard Butler

Director F. Gary Gray
While I was in LA I had the pleasure of viewing the new movie Law Abiding Citizen and then interviewing the cast. Jamie Foxx was fun and Gerard Butler was definitely something to look at
Member him from 300? anyhow…if you ask me the movie is definitely worth the watch….it had a few good surprises and twists…and most of all you don’t visualize Jamie Foxx as “Jamie Foxx” when you’re watching the movie. Good tines yo! Peep the movie if you like suspense

I definitely look to my peers to see what and where I can step my game up! Lots of love to these lovely ladies and their hustle…can’t wait to see us all at the top!

I was lucky enough to broadcast from Disneyland during Halloween season…and it was dope! Seriously, i’ve been on the grind! That doesn’t mean I can’t have fun while im doing it tho! The best thing about Disneyland during this time is that all of the villains run around the park, Ghost Galaxy is the Halloween version of Space Mountain, and the nite time fireworks are off the chain. I always find comfort in acting like a kid again, special shout outs to Drea and Jared for keeping me company!Â

I’ll be out for the next few days…and re-appear at AZ’s first official “KickBack”….I better see ya’ll there….also by that time….i’ll have you updated on what a week in the life of La might look like….i have sooo many pics and soooo many shout outs to line up…but i’m EXCITED to share it with all the FIENDS! see ya’ll soon!!

I spent my last day in NY running up and down the streets of LES trying to find BAMN the last automat in the U.S. ….and guess what? I didn’t find it. Know WHY? Cuz its F*CKING CLOSED. damn it…it pays to do MORE research befor traveling. I was SUPER STOKED to eat at this resturant that is essentially a GIANT vending machine with fresh food, but its CLOSED. wamp wamp wamp!!!!! I was dying to share with the FIENDS…on to my next spot…i’ll keep u posted!
