Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV

Urban Decay Book of Shadows IV is the first to contain how-to videos for five new looks. Sixteen captivating colors of eyeshadow (10 of them NEW), primer, mascara and liquid liner complete this kit.

16 Eyeshadows, 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner in Zero, Supercurl Mascara (my FAVE) and Primer Potion

Just scan the QR codes with your smart phone to explore the colors and combinations.

My favorites are Smoke Out and Naked. Miss.Summer recommends her own favorite combination which she calls her “Angel Stoner Eyes” because of the eerie glassy effect. The look entails using Sin all over the lid, Midnight Rodeo on the inner corners and in the crease, and Lost blended into the outer v. She then uses the 24/7 eyeliner in Demolition on upper and lower lash lines, lining the lower lash line only half way on the outer corners then smudged downward, and blended to connect the upper and lower lines. I for one will be trying this look for sure!

Check out the little slot to hold your smart phone, conveniently close to the mirror.

Attach the portable speaker to your phone with the included wire attachment for more crystalline sound.
I am incredibly impressed with the technology involved in this Book of Shadows. Urban Decay continues to be at the forefront of modern cosmetics. LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Urban Decay’s Book of Shadows IV is available for purchase at Sephora, ULTA and UrbanDecay.com

Currently loving Sanrio’s Hello Kitty Monsters Collection
I haven’t shopped in a Sanrio for a minute, but if I were to stop in, I’d DEF be tempted by these.

I was going to take a little break from blogging until the first of the year, but I couldn’t wait. Who knows how NEW this is, but I just saw the infomercial for a weird little contraption called Easy Feet. Are we really that lazy that we can’t scrub our own feet in the bath? I understand it may be good for prego’s or the elderly, but I’m still “eh” about it . I have dancer’s feet (yeah I know poor me- it’s gross) so I make it a point to pumice and polish each and EVERY time I’m in the shower; it’s been a routine of mine for years. I just sit on the edge of the tub and scrub away. Plus I can’t help but think how much bacteria it may accumulate… remember that some people actually PEE and/or blow their noses in the shower! Think of that when you slip your foot into that thing. Would YOU?

CND Shellac in “Hot Chilis”
The first hybrid nail polish: promises 14 days of wear, zero dry time, and a mirror-like finish.
That’s a LOT of promise for a nail polish, so you know I had to put it to the test.
The above photo shows my nails on Day One of my CND Shellac manicure. My manicurist, Leah from Salon Sanctuary, applied a base coat, 2 coats of polish, and a top coat. Between each coat, I placed my hands under a UV light for a couple of minutes. Last step after the top coat UV session, a sticky film was removed with alcohol and immediately my nails were DRY to the Touch. The polish looked wet and had that mirror-like finish. My nails felt flexible yet sturdy. Flat out AMAZING.
But let’s see how it lasts…

A FULL week later (7 days):
Zero chips or scratches, polish still looks wet. I have visible nail growth but my nails grow fast.
So far so Great ![]()

A FULL Two weeks later (14 days):
Now I really have visible nail growth, but again my nails grow pretty fast. The polish STILL has zero chips or scratches, and it still looks wet and has that mirror-like finish. I am very impressed by this product. This is for all the women out there who don’t want to pay $30 for a manicure just to have it chip days later. This is a guaranteed Two Whole Weeks of perfect polish wear! If it lasts two weeks on fingernails can you imagine the wear on the toes? I need a CND Shellac pedicure STAT! The other great thing about this is that there is no drilling like with gels and acrylics. This applies just like polish and does not damage your nails. The Shellac removes in less than 10 minutes with acetone wraps, no soaking or drilling!
The ONLY downsides to this product is that it is not available in many locations just yet since it is so brand new, and there are not many color selections. There are several pinks/reds, a few neutrals, one vamp shade called Fedora, and one white shade called Cream Puff. (hello Summer pedi!)
If you’re in the Arrowhead area give Leah a call and schedule your very own CND Shellac manicure.

iSee Spray Lens
Liquid contact lenses you spray in your eyes. They claim to last up to 24 hours and come in some natural, and not so natural colors. It sounds odd, but from the looks of the video on their site it looks very simple. The little atomizer almost looks like a lighter. A couple sprays in each eye, blink, and you’re ready to go. iSee makes corrective lenses called W Eye and colored lenses called C Style.
Here are some of the colors available in the C Style spray:

Ametista, Lilla, Celeste, Verde, and Nocciola

Verde acqua, Rosso, Nero, Lime, and Bianco
iSee spray lens is currently only available in Switzerland and Japan but they plan to launch worldwide soon.

Last October DELL released that they would be collaborating with OPI. The first series had only a few color choices, not colors I’m big on. Since then DELL has released more core line colors along with Holiday colors. Now for Spring, they are releasing some from the Hong Kong Collection, including my fave from the bunch “Jade is the new Black”

I would have rather seen the OPI Alice in Wonderland glitters on a DELL. Now THAT would be something to get excited about. I have to admit the first photo featuring “Comet Loves Cupid” would make a really nice Valentine’s Day gift. Check out all the colors available HERE

For this shoot, we each decided to have an out-of-body experience… switch roles, and play in our alter egos. In this day and age of technology and photo editing, you can virtually become ANYONE you want! With the help of our friend, Michael Franco and his glamsquad of experts, we were able to do just that.
