LUSH Holiday: Satsumo Santa Bath Bomb

LUSH Satsumo Santa Bath Bomb $4.95

The Satsumo Santa bath bomb has refreshing mandarin and bergamot oils to make the dark days seem brighter and orange blossom absolute to send your mind off to warmer lands.

Here’s a closeup…

Drop this baby in and watch him fizz away and fill your bathwater with a combination of citrus oils.

Make sure your significant other knows what you’re up to. The water color can be a bit shocking.

You can SEE the oils in the water. The satsuma orange aroma is so refreshing, yet relaxing.

The water is silky and moisturizing but doesn’t leave an oily film.

Love Love Love!

Another great stocking stuffer from LUSH!

LUSH Holiday: Candy Cane Bubble Bar

LUSH Candy Cane Bubble Bar $5.95

The Candy Cane bubble bar is a limited Holiday item from Lush Cosmetics. The first and most important thing you should know, it does NOT smell like a candy cane. There is no peppermint involved here. The Candy Cane bubble bar gets it’s name from the pink and white swirl design, but the scent is vanilla, cotton candy and a touch of bubble gum. Soooo good :)

Here’s a closeup…

The amount of bubbles this thing produces is insane. Break it in half and crumble half of the contents under your running bath water. Watch your tub fill with creamy candy bubbles. Add more if needed.

Photo below shows my daughter’s bath using just half of the candy cane bubble bar. Bubbles Galore!

Oh yea, the water turns pink too :)

This would make a great stocking stuffer. Get em while you can :)

Shew Review: LUSH Snow Fairy Lip Tint

LUSH Snow Fairy Lip Tint $5.95

While I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and I was REALLY excited about this, I’m left disappointed with the Snow Fairy lip tint. It looks beautiful in the pan and smells just like the delightful Snow Fairy shower gel. Unfortunately, it’s super stiff in the pan. I can’t soften it with my finger, and for a product labeled as a lip tint, it has little to no color payoff. Bummer LUSH, please consider reformulating this for next year. I’d like a softer, more TINTED lip tint to be worthy of the scent that is Snow Fairy.

My recommendation: Opt for Snow Fairy shower gel and Bubblegum Lip Scrub instead.

THOSE are both must-haves.

LUSH Holiday: Sugar Plum Fairy Scrub

LUSH Sugar Plum Fairy Sugar Scrub $4.95

The Sugar Plum Fairy is a limited-edition Holiday sugar scrub from LUSH. It is by far my favorite sugar scrub of theirs. This adorable scrub contains plum kernel oil, jasmine absolute and Fair Trade sugar. It is, in my opinion, their most moisturizing scrub. Plus this is the only LUSH sugar scrub with a sweet, non masculine scent. My skin felt so smooth and moisturized after my shower. This will be especially great for rough winter skin.

closeup

Although it’s beautiful to look at in it’s original form, I recommend putting it in a little baggy and crushing it. This way you can scoop or pour the amount you need for your shower or bath. It will last much longer this way. See my reviews for their original sugar scrub and sugar babe sugar scrub.

LUSH Lady Catrina Soap

I finally got to try LUSH Lady Catrina soap yesterday. Lady Catrina is the new soap from their limited-edition Day of the Dead Collection. It smells like grape fizz soda and lime! YUM! Ingredients include Organic Agave nectar, Glycerine, Lime, and Coconut oil. Lady Catrina has officially kicked Rockstar out of the number one soap spot for me.

One important thing you should know, the soap doesn’t look like the photo. The cute fruit topped sombrero is the original form of the enormous solid piece of soap. It is then chopped up into chunks so that it can be wrapped and purchased. Chances are you wont even see it in it’s full sombrero form. Here is what my chunk looks like…

This is a pretty large chunk of soap. I will cut this into about 4 or 5 smaller chunks to put in my shower or next to my sink. This soap is moisturizing and smells amazing. Best thing is that the scent does linger, in my bathroom and on my skin. LOVE!

LUSH please make this permanent!

The Incredible Pumpkin Peel

MyChelle – Incredible Pumpkin Peel

I’ve been using this for about a month now, and INCREDIBLE it is. MyChelle is a natural line of skincare products available for purchase at health food stores. It is free of phthalates, parabens, and fragrances. The Incredible Pumpkin Peel is a mix of organic pumpkin puree with pineapple and organic ginger for ultimate exfoliation and nourishment. It is recommended for all skin types, although sensitive types may experience a stinging sensation the first few times of use.

The smell is yummy, like pumpkin spice, perfect for this time of year. After applying a thin layer of the Incredible Pumpkin Peel, leave it on for 5 minutes, then rinse off. Previously dull and congested skin is left soft, smooth, and glowing! I recommend using this product once a week for consistently radiant skin. This is really an amazing product, the BEST store-bought peel I have ever used. I can’t wait to try more products from MyChelle. MyChelle products are available at Vitamin Shoppe, Sprouts and Whole Foods stores, as well as MyChelle.com

LUSH Sugar Babe

LUSH Sugar Babe

“Sugar Babe is a gentle alternative to the intensity of Sugar Scrub. It’s a mix of sodium bicarbonate and cream of tartar (which makes it sound more like a cake than a cosmetic) and moisturizing coconut oil.” -LushUsa.com

I like this scrub much more than the original sugar scrub. It definitely smells sweeter but the scent still has a bit of a masculine touch to it. I recommend placing this into a ziplock bag and crushing it. That way you can take a scoop of scrub out whenever you want to use it.  I know this kind of goes against the purpose of no packaging, but the product will last much longer this way.

Sugar Babe makes my skin feel super smooth, soft, and moisturized. The scent does linger on skin.

Inside of Sugar Babe…

Sugar Babe is $4.95 and when crushed lasted me about 5 uses.
