I suppose I should officially announce my new kids’ style blog:
“A Cup Of Jasmine”, a blog built for kids and tweens that showcases age appropriate and affordable style musings. I am humbled, and floored, that my side hobby has already caught the eye of someone at Target aka everyone’s favorite store! We are honored to be featured on Target Style’s January issue of On the Dot. http://targetstyle.tumblr.com/

Now through December 20th, 2010, MAC is hosting a contest to choose the models of its Fall 2011 color collection. Will one of them be you?
All you have to do is submit a photo or video and finish this statement:
“MAC Me Over! because…”

Whether or not the rumors of the alleged couple are true, the buzz serves as promising news for LGBT families. It’s never too soon to teach/learn acknowledgement and acceptance.

MAC lipglass versions of Viva Glam Gaga and Viva Glam Cyndi will be hitting stores in September. These will retail for $14.50 each and will only be available for a six month period.
As always, 100% profits will go to the MAC AIDS Fund.
In other MAC news… the Rodarte Collection was pulled and will not ship after all. MAC Cosmetics will still donate the collection’s projected global profits to a charity that benefits the women and children of Juarez, Mexico.

According to the Twitter account of Women’s Wear Daily, Khloe and Lamar Kardashian will launch a unisex fragrance just in time for Valentine’s Day. Would you? I feel like a fragrance collaboration is as dooming as tattooing your partner’s name on you. But that’s just me.

Since the promo images and product names struck the internet last week, people all over the world have been in an uproar over the Bordertown inspired MAC for Rodarte Collection.
The people have spoken, and apparently MAC listened.

From MAC Cosmetics:
“We understand that product names in the M·A·C Rodarte collection have offended our consumers and fans. This was never our intent and we are very sorry. We continue to listen carefully to the comments we have received and have the following plans to address concerns:
As we have done in the past, please be assured that we will communicate details regarding our progress in this matter.”

From Rodarte:
“We recognize that the violence against women taking place in Juarez needs to be met with proactive action. We never intended to make light of this serious issue and we are truly sorry.
Helping to improve the conditions for women in Juarez is a priority for us and we are thankful for all the comments calling attention to the urgency of addressing this situation.”

Many thank you’s to the C’est La Vie familia for honoring me with the Femme Fatale title recently. Check out the interview HERE

MAC & Disney Venomous Villains – September 2010
“MAC Cosmetics is teaming up with Disney to create a limited edition color collection, intended to launch globally in late September in all MAC locations. The products will feature four Disney characters, on which the brand is keeping mum at the moment — although with a collection name of Venomous Villains, it is assumed that we’re not talking Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse here. Lipstick, powder, lip gloss and blush shades will be sold, ranging in price from $12 to $29.50.” – WWD
So much for keeping mum about the characters because I found a video. I see Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, The Evil Queen, and Dr. Facilier aka Shadow Man from Princess and the Frog!
Peep the Video HERE
I imagine a glossy vamp color or glossy black for the packaging
What type of colors do you hope to see, and what would the packaging ideally look like?

Archie Comics announced the introduction of their first openly-gay character, Kevin Keller. Kevin will make his entrance in the September issue #202 where Veronica will set her sights on the “hot new guy”. Kevin will apparently try to let her down easily and is quoted as saying, “It’s nothing against her. I’m gay.” Whatever it takes to stay relevant right?

I used to read Archie comics as a kid and while I think it’s great, I’m not sure how the majority of parents will feel about this. What do YOU think about the new addition to Riverdale High?
