ORLY Pinup Collection for Summer 2011
Bring a sense of sexy summer fun to the everyday with Pinup, the Summer 2011 Collection from ORLY. Inspired by the unapologetic glitz and free-spirited attitude of the most iconic pinup girls, the collection exudes a vivacious, dolled-up femininity that laces any look with sheer confidence.

Coquette Cutie – Coral creme

Bubbly Bombshell - Purple Glitter

Va Va Voom – Pink Neon Creme

Here Comes Trouble – Sparkle Green
I’m a fan of creme nail polishes. The coral and neon pink applied perfectly and 2-3 coats were needed for full coverage. The sparkly green makes my Irish side giddy. I would have loved to have had this on St. Paddy’s Day
All ORLY Nail Lacquers including the Pinup Collection are free of DBP, Toluene and all traces of Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde Resin.
Available May 2011 for $7.50 each at Sally Beauty and ULTA stores.

Zoya Summertime Collection

Sooki

Tamsen

Kieko

Areej

Mira

Breezi
BOLD and Creamy, I loved every one of these colors in the Zoya Summertime Collection. Each one had great coverage and great formula. Application was a breeze and two coats tops gave a perfectly even finish. No top coat was used in these photos.
Zoya nail polish is $8 a piece or $48 for the six piece sampler.

Urban Decay Rollergirl Nail Kit for Summer 2011

Fame – champagne shimmer

Superfreak – gold with gold micro-glitter

Xanadu – sheer purple jelly with purple micro-glitter

Miss T – bright orchid frost

Woodstock – neon hot pink

Love Train – opalescent pearl drop
Urban Decay’s Rollergirl Nail Kit is available for purchase for $28 on UrbanDecay.com Not bad for six nail colors. The bottles are pretty tiny, but I’ve never finished one bottle of polish anyway. Superfreak is definitely a standout to me. The micro-glitter is super blingy in sunlight. LOVE. Xanadu is eye-catching. I think I’m going to put Xanadu on my daughter tonight.
Which colors are you feeling the most?

Following the success of their Black Shatter polish, this summer OPI will release more colors to their shatter formula polish. The collection of shatter colors will include these blue, turquoise, and navy shatters. I have to ask… did China Glaze’s Crackle collection leave you wanting more of this shatter effect polish? Or are you “over” this polish trend.

108 Degrees
A glass flecked bright berry pink. Super shiny and sweet.

Papaya Punch
A vivid orange creme. I don’t think I have anything like this yet so I was happy to add it to my collection. Bright orange is always great for spring/summer.

Senorita Bonita
Senorita Bonita has a really pretty micro glitter that isn’t showing up in my photo
This looks so much prettier in person and I was unexpectedly impressed. I’ll try to take a closeup shot later to capture the micro glitter.

Blue Iguana
Blue Iguana is a sparkly bold blue. I probably could have used an extra coat of polish for this manicure. This will look like candy on the toes for a summer pedi!

Cha Cha Cha
Shimmery lime green, probably my least favorite on myself, but it’s still a pretty color.

Electric Pineapple
Creamy Lemon-Lime Green. This was the stand out polish for me. It’s very unique and I don’t have anything like it.
This post has been updated to include 108 degrees (sparkly pink).

China Glaze Island Escape Collection for Summer 2011
Take an exotic island escape with China Glaze this summer with a tropical, shimmering rainbow of brilliant bright colors! Mix and match these hot hues to add a candy-like pop to that summer manicure and pedicure. Colors in the collection include:

CHANEL Le Vernis in Mimosa – April 2011
Chanel’s intended “IT polish” for Spring 2011 looks incredibly similar to their
Robertson Exclusive Le Vernis in L.A. Sunrise from 2008 doesn’t it?

If they aren’t twins, they are definitely sisters. I can only hope that Mimosa is easier to apply than L.A. Sunrise. I recommend several thin coats, and letting each coat dry in between.
Will YOU partake in Mimosa come April?
