Camel – creamy opaque beige

Plum - rich bold purple

Mink – warm cocoa brown

I really wish I could see these in person, but unfortunately RGB isn’t sold anywhere in AZ. The promo photos don’t show Mink as being a warm brown color at all, in fact it looks to me like a neutral taupe, maybe even running on the cool side. Regardless, all three shades look gorgeous. Beautiful additions to the RGB lineup for Fall 2010 and all available now HERE,

for $14 each with complimentary shipping.

Essie Fall Into Fashion

Essie Fall Into Fashion Collection for Fall 2010

For this collection, Essie drew inspiration from the range of elegant, sanguine hues and camouflage tones seen on Fall’s runways. Maybe a couple of these dusty camouflage tones can satisfy your expensive thirst for the CHANEL Khaki Collection? Let’s take a look…

In Stitches

Described by Essie as a cheeky blush pink, I see more of a rose blush creme.

I’m tempted to call this an affordable alternative to CHANEL Khaki Rose, although this is more pink.

This applied very well, plenty of coverage in two coats.

Limited Addiction

Described by Essie as a racy garnet red, this started out a fuschia pink-red with one coat.

It deepened with the second coat to a beautiful deep garnet.

One of my favorites from this collection.

Sew Psyched

Described by Essie as a cashmere-soft sage pewter, this will definitely be the most stand-out and talked about shade of the collection. Although they may not be exact dupes, this will be my affordable alternative to CHANEL Khaki Vert.

Merino Cool

Described by Essie as a sensuous autumn mulberry, I’m going to keep it simple and call it a cool taupe. I love these types of cool dusty taupes, another favorite for me.

Velvet Voyeur

Described by Essie as an intense chocolate amethyst, I’m going to call it an intense deep plum. It was difficult to capture the intensity of the plum tones on photograph, partially because I was running out of sunlight when I took these. It’s pretty much stunning and perfect for Fall.

Little Brown Dress

Described by Essie as a beguiling black coffee, which is a pretty good description for this color, it reminded me instantly of chocolate covered espresso beans. Mmmmm Yes Please!

Formula and application was excellent and all photos show two coats of polish.

Available NOW and just in time for Fall on Essie.com

Les Khakis de CHANEL

LES KHAKIS DE CHANEL – September 10, 2010

“Ultra sophisticated shades Khaki Brun, Khaki Rose, and Khaki Vert can be worn alone or combined for an urban chic camouflage effect. This collection will be available at CHANEL boutiques, CHANEL.com and select department stores for $25 each.”

Give my wallet a break CHANEL! Wear together for an urban chic camouflage effect??

As amazing as that sounds, that’s $75 (not including tax) to get all three bottles.

WILL YOU?

Who am I kidding… You know I will ;)

Orly Plastix

These awesome new polishes from the Orly Plastix Collection arrived on my doorstep the other day. They are bold and bright, and dry to a satin/matte latex-like finish. The best thing about them is they don’t need a topcoat, in fact they would lose their “plastic” finish if you did apply one.

“Complementing the Fall 2010 runway looks that featured bright neon colors amid shiny black plastic, latex, and rubber reinventions of vintage must-haves, Plastix evokes the vintage classic trend with four new lacquers and a unique new formula that coats the nails with a smooth glossy matte “plastic” finish.  The exclusive finish and texture is a first in the nail category, delivering a monochromatic, shiny and rubbery look that takes experimentation to an entirely new level, with the focus being on both the distinctive nail surface, as well as the latest in color trends.”

Viridian Vinyl – glossy blue green

Purple Pleather – shiny purple

Zoya Wonderful Collection

Zoya Kelly – paynes gray cream

Kelly is extremely unique… a murky violet gray.

Zoya Stacy – mahogany red cream

Stacy gave me trouble with application.

Or maybe it was me being still half-asleep when I swatched this. :/

Zoya Burke – sienna red cream

Burke was a dream to apply and Love this color for Fall.

Zoya Kristi – crimson red cream

Kristi is the ultimate sexy red creme polish! Love!

Zoya Cola – desert sand red cream

Cola is a very interesting color and is getting attention in the press already. It can lean brown or red depending on your skin tone. It makes me think of Dr. Pepper :)

Zoya Shawn – myrtyl green cream

How do you guys feel about Zoya’s new Wonderful Collection for Fall?

China Glaze Fight Like a Woman

China Glaze Fight Like a Woman Collection for Breast Cancer Awareness

Join China Glaze Nail Lacquer this October in the battle against breast cancer, one nail at a time! The professional line of nail lacquers brings on the fight with three powerful pinks. Inspired by the women who fight everyday and those that support them in their battle, these fabulous shades are sure to help you defeat the toughest opponents with style and class. China Glaze representative Rachel Schafer voiced that “in an industry dominated by women, for women, it is important that we strive to work together towards finding a cure.”

I love that these colors are not the typical medium pink creme or shimmer that you normally see for BCA. These are pretty and unique colors that women will actually want to wear!

Look for them in September at your local beauty supply…

Encouragement: A baby pink shimmer that brings on the cheer

Endurance: Power through the punches with this raspberry shimmer

Empowerment: Stand up tall with this cotton-candy crème on your nails

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), an agency of the World Health Organization dedicated to the science of cancer and promoting international collaboration in cancer research.
