Maybelline Mirror Image base + polish
Currently available in the UK, people claim that this polish resembles Minx in silver lightning,
so I put it to the test…

Inspired by some recent celeb spottings, (Jennifer Lopez had lace nails at the VMA’s)
I decided to head to the craft store like a true DIY would.

This wheel of lace trim cost me $1 at Hobby Lobby (on sale from $1.99)

Craft Scissors $1.99 at Hobby Lobby
I trimmed the lace trim to fit my nails, applied a thick coat of nude polish, and applied the lace.
I held it down by the sides and blew on it until dry.
(You could also use clear nail adhesive)

You don’t need a celebrity glam squad to have a fashion forward manicure.
I plan on cutting up some old fishnet stockings next.
Love it or Hate it? Don’t worry you won’t hurt my feelings

For all my DIY ladies, Sally Hansen has launched their new nail art pens. These have been spotted in Walgreens, Walmart, and at CVS. If you can catch them on a Buy One Get One Free sale you should take advantage, because they are about $7.99 a piece. They are getting good reviews around the Nail Art World, so I’m hoping to find them on sale so I can try them out.

EDIT: Official FIEND Diana tells us that CVS is having a Buy One Get One FREE Sale on all Sally Hansen Nail Polish! So these should be included! Thanks Diana! Send us pics of your nail art with these

No, it’s not just a rushed job. To get this look, polish the center of the nail and leave the sides naked and bare, kind of like a nail version of the mohawk. It makes your nails look slim and chic. Plus it’s super easy and Do-It-Yourself. You will even save on time and polish!

I LOVE the look of Full Brows. We use pencils and shadows and gels to fill in or darken our brows. Some even get them tattooed on, which I would not recommend. I know some salons do brow tinting, but being the DIY girl that I am, I decided to take it upon myself. I colored my hair last night. My favorite haircolor is on sale 2 for $9.99 at Target.
Garnier Nutrisse in Sweet Cola
After applying the dye to my hair I decided to apply some of the leftover haircolor on my brows. I know we are not supposed to do this because we can become blind or something right? Well, I know people who have done it and I have a pretty steady hand so I decided to take the risk. I was extra careful to only apply a light coating to my brows and not poke myself in the eye.
I used a lash brush like this one.
I rinsed 15 minutes later and my brows look fuller and are perfectly tinted
I will be adding this new step to my color routine. I forgot to take a before picture, dangit… so I didn’t bother posting an after picture. Maybe next time.
Take precaution, always read the warnings on the box and take your own risks if you choose to try it. Or even better, be safe and get your brows tinted professionaly in a salon.

A friend of mine hit me up this morning needing help with her favorite polish that she said just takes forever to dry. It made me think maybe other girls have this problem too. Sooo… Is your nail polish taking forever to dry? As soon as you touch something it dents? It’s fading and chipping within a couple days? Let me introduce you to a couple friends of mine
Seche Vite dry fast top coat: $7 at Sallys Beauty Supply
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry: $4 at Walmart
After applying polish on your nails, you will apply the fast drying top coat. This will add long-lasting shine and make your nails dry to the touch in less than a minute. It will also prevent fading and chipping, saving you time and product.
