Around my way in the very early days of high school you were gettin’ props for rockin’ a Double R tee. DMX reigned supreme and being that these were getting handed out every which way in NY and in AZ you had to ’special’ order yours….if you repped Ruff Ryders via screenprint you were definitely gettin’ love!! just taking the time to reflect…what was YOUR crush rocking back in the day? Looks like the ‘Double Arra” is making a comeback! werd?

Disney’s English dub of Hayao Miyazaki’s Ponyo comes out in theaters today.

This weekend I had the chance to visit my most favorite party in Los Angeles. I’m a hundred percent positive my friends roll their eyes when I gush over it, that’s how much I love its vibe. At this party, there is usually a line wrapped around the building, which I have no problem waiting in. This visit however, my tour guide for the weekend was able to pull some strings and move our party to the front of the line. As we were waiting, I pointed out to my girlfriend (very discreetly), a pair of the most amazing shoes I had ever seen, being worn by the door hostess. After about 20 more minutes of waiting, it was brought to my attention, that the same hostess was convinced my girlfriend and I were making “snide” comments about her, hence the reason for our extended wait time. Now usually I would brush behaviour like this off; I cannot fix another person’s insecurity issues. But this time around, I was MORE than offended (to say the least). We at FF try to support and empower our fellow femmes to the best of our ability. For this girl to jump to such irrational conclusions shows, that AS WOMEN, we have a LONG way to go. The response to genuine admiration has now been replaced by an automatic defense mechanism rather than a simple “thank you”. So much for the “vibe” that day. What gives ladies?? Why can’t I JUST like your shoes?? :/
