Jonathan Adler for 7 For All Mankind

Renowned interior designer Jonathan Adler has teamed up with denim giant, 7 For All Mankind for a limited run of pants and tops. According to WWD, “The limited edition collection is broken down into three themes — Deluxe, Rustic, and Pop — with a men’s and women’s look for each, giving the line a total of six jeans and six tops. The Deluxe items were designed for a casual beach lifestyle, while the Rustic segment relies on more modern, earthy looks. Pop looks use brighter colors and white contrast for a preppier look. The collection will retail for $90 to $210.” This is the first time Adler has involved his work in fashion design and also, the first time Seven has collaborated with someone OUTSIDE of fashion. The project, set to launch some time next month, is yet ANOTHER example of the collaboration craze of 2010.

Coachella Proof Your Face With Sephora

It’s Coachella time but I’m sooooo not the type to camp out in the desert to watch a few bands play (yes, even MORRISSEY) AND there’s not a chance in hell I’d ever run around sans makeup. Before you put on your gladiators and statement shades, check in with Sephora for tips on how to perfect your pretty in the heat.

From Sephora’s blog:

Peter Thomas Roth Uber-Dry Sunscreen SPF 30

With temps in the high 90s, sunscreen will be your mejor amigo. This lightweight, non-sticky number absorbs quickly and leaves a shine-free finish that’s smooth to the touch.

The Balm Two Timer Mascara

At the end of a long, jams-packed day, you can confidently remove your sunglasses knowing your double-ended mascara contains a special polymer that not only improves water resistance, but also prevents flaking! builds volume! and plumps your hair shaft!

Stella SPF 30+ Sunscreen Towelette

These individually wrapped towelettes contain sweat-resistant sunscreen and are scented with the yummy blood-orange-based fragrance, Stella. After walking and dancing from dawn ‘till dusk, these are perfect for freshening up your screen and your scent (eau!).

Sephora by O.P.I Nail Colour in IM Beauty

If there ever was a time to let loose and paint the nails crazy, Coachella is it! A bright buttercup yellow looks très chic on tanned toes.

Fresh Sugar Rosé Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15

This is the balm! I love the texture of this sheer, rose-tinted lip moisturizer that hydrates, repairs, and protects lips with SPF 15.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir To Go

While others may opt for that Mini Spray Fan, you can stay cool (in more ways than one) with this best-selling misting elixir that smoothes skin, tightens pores, and provides an instant burst of radiance.

Sephora Collection Matte Blotting Film

I’m an obsessive blotter (I buy in “bulk”) and I will be bringing at least 10 packs of these to Coachella. I think you should, too.

Exit Through The Gift Shop Photo Re-Cap

Banksy has always received my stamp of approval. Too bad these photos aren’t mine; you guys will just have to settle for LA Weekly.

stop the sag?

Via WWD

The slogan would’ve suited a bra campaign MUCH better, don’t you think? This guy can’t think of better things to rally against? I personally don’t care about someone’s underwear.

Global Beauty: India Fashion Weeks

Sabyasachi

With designer fashion in India still on the come up (it constitutes only 0.4 percent of the global industry’s net worth), it was a pleasant surprise to see SOME coverage (only 4 pictures?? :( ) of their fashion events via WWD. While designers in Delhi stuck to the norm and showed Fall/Winter collections, Mumbai’s shows were dedicated to the summer months. Said Sujal Shah (India head of IMG Fashion), “India has tremendous resort style. Design here is about the colors, the layers, the fabrics of a warm weather climate and the style: open and flowing. He said IMG decided to change the seasonal system for Mumbai’s fashion week to reflect domestic consumer demand. The next fashion week, which will be held this fall, will focus on India’s winter party season instead of spring-summer 2011. “Indians want to be able to buy what they have just seen on the catwalk,” he said. “The just-in-time cycle works very well here.”
