Burt’s Bees Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub
This luxurious body scrub exfoliates to leave skin silky and soft, naturally. A deliciously sweet blend of cranberry seeds and pomegranate oil combine with natural sugar crystals and shea butter to gently polish and condition skin leaving it feeling healthy, smooth and glowing.

This sugar scrubs smells sooo good. I seriously wanted to eat it. I refrained and instead rubbed it all over my wet skin in the shower. It feels good and thick, but not too rough to where it hurts. You can see the sugar crystals dissolve and the cranberry seeds remain as you rub in circular motions. When I rinsed the scrub off, the water beaded off my skin as if I had applied baby oil to my body. My skin felt smooth, soft and moisturized. Overall, this is a win. The smell alone is enough to repurchase. YUM!
Purchase this sugar scrub for $12.99 where Burt’s Bees products are sold.
Sugar Scrub also available in Honey & Shea.

I saw this great modern twist on the french manicure, and decided to give it a try myself. Traditional french manicures have been such a “DON’T” in recent years, so when I saw the nude base with a navy tip (two nail colors I am very fond of) I fell in love. The difference with this “New French” is that the tip is much thinner. Even on long nails, you aren’t going to do the entire length of your tip navy. The thin stripe of navy adds so much chic.

All you need is a nude base, warm or cool depending on your skintone. I used OPI Tickle My Francey, mostly because my Samoan Sand is down to the last drop *tear*.
For the Navy tips I used a thin nail art brush from a beauty supply store and OPI Sapphire in the Snow. I love using Sapphire in the Snow on my toes in Fall and Winter months. I will probably soon be running low on that gem too.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
“This revolutionary invisible dry spray builds incredible volume and sultry texture. Patented polymers absorb oil at the roots, leaving you with just-styled hair for both day and nights. Shake. Spray where you want volume and style. A brilliant alternative to dry shampoo.”
Over the weekend I had a hair emergency. It was my hubby’s birthday party and I wanted to look fly. I had a hair appointment at Drybar, something I only do on special occasions. Unfortunately, the 101 freeway was down to one lane and I had to call and cancel last minute. Sad Panda.
Luckily I remembered I had this Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray on hand. I sprayed it lightly all over my hair and then curled it in sections with my enzo milano curler. Result, volume and texture galore. Thank you Oribe, for saving me from my hair emergency.

I have the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray in the purse size, which retails for $19.50 and is available at Neiman Marcus and Oribe.com.

Current Beauty Faves for September 2011
Sonia Kashuk Radiant Tinted Moisturizer $12.99 – Just the right amount of coverage for daily wear. My skin looks even and healthy, not shiny. I love that it has spf too.
Urban Decay Naked Palette $48 – I keep going back to the Naked palette when I want a pretty neutral eye. It never fails me. MUST-HAVE for sure.
LUSH Tea Tree Water $8.95 – I really love this toner spray from LUSH. I spray it on my skin after cleansing, morning and night. It feels refreshing and I think it’s helping to keep my pores clear. It has antiseptic properties so it is great for oily and problem skin.
Latisse $100 – Yes, I am currently using Latisse eyelash growth serum. I will be reviewing it at the end of my 12 week trial so stay tuned for results and photos. It’s been about 4 weeks and I am already seeing results. EXCITING

Currently loving this glittery look that Michael Franco did on Lady La for her upcoming 2012 calendar. My favorite product for a sparkly, smokey eye is MAC Mineralize Eyeshadow in Cinderfella.

It’s a pigmented carbon black with silver sparkle.

You may be able to snag one of these on Ebay, but since it’s no longer available, I’ve compiled a list of products that can give you a glittery look, including the one used in the above photo.

Just dab a bit of cosmetic-grade glitter on top of your eyeshadow for this sparkly look. Lorac Liquid Lustre is a liquid product that can be mixed in with your eyeshadow or dabbed on top as well. This is the product on Lady La, shown in the above photo. (Makeup by Michael Franco)
Tip: Glittery looks are great for a night out.. not so much for everyday wear.

LUSH Dream Cream
“We took every essential oil that could help the skin and put it in our softest emulsion. This is as good as it gets!”

Oat milk, rose, and lavender make Dream Cream an incredibly soothing body lotion for troubled skin. This is LUSH’s best-selling product for a reason. Chamomile and lavender calm irritations, reduce redness and banish blotches.

Dream Cream was a savior to my skin when I came back from the East Coast with a case of hives. This body lotion is rich and smooth. A little goes a long way, and your skin is left looking and feeling healthy and moisturized. My skin felt soothed and supple on contact. It smells really nice and the fact that Rose Water is listed as the second ingredient made me a big fan, untried. This jar will probably last me a really long time, but when I do run out I WILL repurchase. For people with dry, sensitive, itchy skin.. the cost is well worth it. Stop in to your nearest LUSH store to at least try a sample. You wont regret it!
Dream Cream is available at LUSH stores and LUSHusa.com for $25.95
