Here’s a little promo snippet for the Lady La 2011 Calendar. It did so well last year, kids in the valley benefitted from thousands of dollars for treament. The Lady La 2011 Calendar is done and ready to print. I am currently looking for sponsors to help with the cost of printing. If you know of anyone interested in helping raise money and awareness about Autism please leave a comment!

My dear friend works REALLY closely with this foundation. Please take the time to read the info and click away for these kiddos. Should they win, it would really benefit these children who suffer from being serious ill and spend a LOT of time in the hospital. You don’t have to be affected to make a change!

Starlight is participating in Pepsi’s Refresh Project and has been accepted to compete for a $250,000 grant during the month of August. Starlight Children’s Foundation offers a broad array of programs that together provide a continuum of support for seriously ill children and their families, from the moment of diagnosis throughout their journeys with serious illness. With this we would like to build 5 Starlight Site care rooms across the US so we need your help! Will you help us?! Visit www.refresheverything.com/starlight to place your vote for Starlight’s idea to “Transform children’s hospital treatment rooms from scary to friendly” in the Health category. Vote for this idea every day in the month of August—set a reminder for yourself! You can place a second vote each day with your mobile phone by texting 101723 to Pepsi (73774). Standard text messaging rates apply.
For this project, Starlight has partnered with five specific hospitals, whose treatment rooms are in dire need of a transformation: Maricopa Medical Center in Arizona, Rainbow & Babies Children’s Hospital in Ohio, Los Angeles County USC Medical Center in California, Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital in Florida, and UMass Memorial Children’s Center in Massachusetts.
It goes without saying that a hospital treatment room can be a very scary place for children. With this in mind, Starlight created its Starlight Site care room program. One by one, Starlight is beautifully redesigning dreary and intimidating treatment rooms in hospitals across the country into warmer, kid-friendly environments that pediatric patients can relax and feel comfortable in during their hospital visits.
We’re currently in 41st place the 1st and 2nd place vote-getters will win. The chance to win is in all of our hands! We’re counting on all of you to help! Together, we can do this! Thanks so much for all you do for seriously ill children and their families!

I lost my job before I lost my mind, and thank God. I’m not sure where or how I’ll end up employed next but I’m taking some LONG overdue ME TIME. sounds corny I know. but it isn’t. For the first time in my life I don’t have a format. a checklist. or a gang of material rewards that will pat me on the back for being ’successful’. Excuse me world, while I live. I’m taking my time off to see the world the way I’ve always wanted to. without time constraint. without reason. I’ll keep you posted on how that turns out for me.
