Anyone who knows me knows about the love affair I have with Saint candles.  No, I’m not Catholic and no, I don’t practice any habitual witchery (shouts to miss.summer), but something about lighting a Saint candle gives me peace.  I’m such a fan in fact, that I always have one burning inside my fireplace and I also light several every week at my club night.  (more…)

Awhile back, it was confirmed that Alexander McQueen would be first in line for Target’s new Designer Collaborations project. And of course, behind every great man’s vision, lies some female influence. According to WWD: Participating designers in the Target program will draw inspiration from a muse, creative element or collaborative partner. McQueen chose as his muse Liela Moss, the lead singer of The Duke Spirit. Moss’ style gave the clothes their rock ’n’ roll–punk vibe and hip Brit accents “I was looking for someone with the uttermost feeling of McQ,” said McQueen. “We use icons in British music, and she stood out. She’s a great-looking girl and has a personal style. It fell into the idea of the New York underground music scene. It was more the atmosphere she portrays.”

McQueen’s collection for Target’s new Designer Collaborations will launch in March.

Sprinkles sent over a box of their New Holiday Flavors to my Love’s office yesterday. Coincidently I was there to try them for him, haha. (He’s not much of a Sweets person) The flavors are Ginger Maple, Pumpkin, Orange Cranberry and Dark Chocolate. Needless to say, they were Delicious! They will be available November 21-30

This collection will be released in January 2009. Fans of the original 90210 may be disappointed. These colors are based on the New show, Not the original, and there will only be three shades which include:
Queen of West Web-erly - Purple Shimmer
Sweet as Annie-thing! - Lollipop Red
Pretty & Privileged - Ruby Red

But I want to now. People are going nuts about this movie. Opening Night showings have already Sold Out in presale. I had to see what I was missing out on so I attended a premiere screening Tuesday night. The author of Twilight, Stephenie Meyer, lives here in Phoenix, AZ. The main character Bella is also from Phoenix and parts of the film take place here in Phoenix. There were people at the theater that had been waiting in line since 7am and they were in full costume, dressed as the characters.
I LOVED the movie. The visuals were amazing and it left me hoping for a sequel. Go see it this weekend, it comes out this Friday. For more about this movie go HERE

I venture far and wide for good eats. There’s a new Ranch Market on 33rd ave and Indian School, I don’t know how others fair, but this was is the shit. I filmed a segment there for MTV tr3s and fell in love. Come with me on my visit to have dinner at this spot! Dinner for two for 11 bucks has never done me wrong! It’s a full on sensory overload experience plus freshness. Ju already know I’m a FIEND when it comes to the Fresh!

1 of my top 5 favorite concerts of all time. Peri-ODD. Not bc of the young bucks either. Tip killlllllled it. I straight got a cardio workout from jumping up and down soooo hard. ALL of the CLASSICs, a lot of the NEW bangers off the Renaissance (In stores now)…..There’s something to be said for OG’s in the game who go harder than the new kids….oh! i may have just said it. LOVE IS LOVE tho. We don’t all sweat the same….Chout outs to the homie D REC!!

I used to be a pure music fan.  I’m still a music fan of course, but now that radio is my job, the purity isn’t what it once was.  The politics and dramatics of the game have removed a fine layer of beautiful fandom-ignorance from the equation.  I’ll always dig music, but in order to keep my sanity, I have to spend some of my time loving something outside of that realm in order to keep balance.

We live in a time where there are more people looking for fans than there are fans themselves.  The youtube stars and MySpace celebs have prompted a lot of folks to want to start up their own empires and solicit followers.  Being a radio personality, I’m always looking for new listeners and people to notice what I’m trying to do.  It’s all a part of the game.  And I’m just like everyone else.  (more…)
